About Koohooo

Koohooo is a passive bioacoustic monitoring system deployed across The Liana Trust's forest reserve in Karnataka, India. Android devices placed at strategic sites continuously record ambient soundscapes and run deep-learning detection models to identify bird species — building a long-term record of biodiversity and ecosystem health without disturbing wildlife.
